Diet for health and beauty during Pregnancy
Eat healthy diet to be beautiful during Pregnancy - You are pregnant and it is the time for you to be very careful about your diet because the well being of
your child depends to a considerable extent on your diet. You are lucky, as to what you eat will have a show on your foetus and your skin.
Nevertheless, times have changed and just “eating and eating ” is no longer
permissible to pack on the pounds. Staying in shape is a goal of health-conscious
pregnant woman but remember the foetus will make extra demands on you and so
your intake of proteins, vitamins and minerals should be increased considerably.
In the 1st trimester of pregnancy there is no need for extra allowances. Hence you
can continue to eat what you have been eating.
During 2nd and 3rd trimester i.e. the 2nd half of pregnancy you are to increase your
nutrients:

This translated in terms of food will be:
*Calories: Take extra calories (300). You can increase it by
adding 100 gm of cereal to your diet.
*Proteins: Take extra protein. You can obtain that by intake
of pulses, milk, meat or eggs. This would ensure the
additional supply of minerals. (You can add liver of meat to
your diet if you are deficit of hemoglobin).
*Fruits and vegetables: Increase the consumptions of fruits,
vegetables and include sprouts in your diet. This will provide
the extra vitamins and the fiber to help your bowel
movements.
*Water: Drink plenty of water. Having well hydrated skin can
make you appear more attractive.
*Avoid over eating:
Eat in moderation during special events. When it comes to holidays and parties,
most pregnant women overeat justifying eating for two. Be even more diligent not to
overeat while you are pregnant. If you do you can turn out to be overweight, which will
be difficult for you to carry your own body. This will give you a lazy look.
*Avoid alcohol:
Don’t drink alcohol when you are pregnant. Why? Because when you drink alcohol,
so does your baby. Think about it.
